The maker

Mara Ostlund mixes her own ink.

I trained as a screen printer and never quite forgave the screen for being so polite. Pigment is where I let colour shout a little — flat fields that earn their grain on a thirty-year-old risograph that hums when it’s happy.

How a print reaches you.

    Inks hand-blended in small batches. No two runs of a colour are ever identical.

  2. Pulled

    Each layer printed and dried separately, building grain pass by pass.

  3. Signed

    Numbered, signed in pencil, embossed with the Pigment mark.

  4. Shipped flat

    Acid-free tissue, rigid board mailer, tracked and insured to your door.
